BocaBudy is a translation app that enables users to translate using emotions to better convey what they wish to express.
What makes BocaBudy unique?
BocaBudy gives its users an accessible "emoji wheel" that enables them to select the emotions they wish to express. The emoji wheel includes a wide set of emotions, as well as modifiers for formality or verbal complexity. By employing algorithms that adjust translations based on selected emotions and modifiers, BocaBudy overcomes the inefficiency and awkwardness commonly found in other translation tools. Translations become a breeze with BocaBudy.

How We Got Here
An in-depth look at the devlopment process of BocaBudy
Sketches
These sketches were made using the Concepts app. Here I plan out various screens, components and interactions for the product.
User Flows
Taking the ideas from the sketches, user flows were developed to show the basic process of core interactions.
Early Prototype
Following the user flows, a barebones wireframe of the product was created. The pages were then made into an early prototype of the product.
In Process App Versions
Several iterations of the layout and design were created before developing the fleshed-out prototype.
Final Version
The yellow and blue color scheme was selected as a simple but effective means of color coding the functions of the UI elements.
